Contracts have a handful of states. Here's what each means.
Draft
You've started a contract but haven't sent it. No one has seen it yet. Freely editable.
Sent
You've clicked Send and the signing link is live. The client has access to sign. A Contract pending badge appears on the client's card. If required, the partner can also sign.
Signed
The contract is fully signed. If a single signature was required, it's done when the client signs. If both partners were required, it's done when both have signed. Status doesn't change until all required signatures are in.
Cancelled
You cancelled the contract. The signing link no longer works. Cancelled contracts stay in your records for reference.
Where to see status
Contracts shows all contracts with status badges and filtering. You can filter to "Pending signatures" to see everything currently sent but not signed — useful for follow-up.
On a client's profile, the Contracts tab shows every contract tied to that client.
Action badges
A Contract pending action badge appears on the client card in your pipeline as long as they have any Sent contract. The badge disappears when the contract is signed or cancelled.
Notifications
When a contract is signed, you get an Inbox notification (and an email if enabled in your preferences). Both connected and managed client signings trigger this.
Partner signature tracking
When both signatures are required, the contract detail page shows who has signed and who hasn't. The status stays Sent until the second signer completes.
