Cradled ships with a demo client — a pretend mom named Sarah who's four weeks postpartum with a full history of check-ins, feeding logs, tasks, feed posts, and appointment notes. The demo client is a tool, not real data.
Why it exists
When you first sign up for Cradled, your client list is empty. It's hard to imagine what a week-three postpartum dashboard actually looks like, what the wellbeing trend chart is doing, or how appointment notes behave — until you see it on real data.
The demo client solves that. Flip it on and your dashboard populates with a realistic example client so you can click through every tab and see the full picture.
How to turn it on
- Go to Clients.
- Find the Preview demo client button (usually at the bottom of the client list or in the onboarding checklist).
- Click it. Your dashboard now shows Sarah as an active client.
What you can do with the demo client
Everything you can do with a real client — click through her tabs, read her check-ins, open her appointment notes, view her feed, review her plan progress. Treat it like a sandbox.
What you can't do
- Send real emails or invoices. The demo is local-only; sending a real email to Sarah isn't wired up.
- Connect it to Stripe. Demo invoices can't be charged.
- Share it with a colleague. The demo state lives in your browser session, not in the database.
Turning it off
Click Hide demo client (same spot you turned it on). The demo data clears immediately. It doesn't affect any real client records — the demo client and your real clients live in separate places.
