Connecting Google Calendar keeps Cradled and your everyday calendar in step, so clients can't book you when you're already busy, and every appointment you book shows up where you already look.
Where to connect
Go to Schedule, open the Availability tab, find the Google Calendar card, and click Connect Google Calendar. Google will ask you to sign in and grant access.
The "unverified app" notice
Google may show a screen warning that the app isn't verified. This is expected: our verification with Google is still in progress. It's safe to continue. Click through the advanced option to proceed and grant access.
What syncs
- Your busy times block booking slots. Events already on your Google Calendar mark you unavailable, so connected clients can't book over your existing commitments.
- Your Cradled appointments write to Google. When you book an appointment in Cradled, it's added to your Google Calendar, and if you move or cancel it in Cradled, the calendar event moves or disappears to match.
Primary calendar only
The sync works with your primary Google Calendar. Secondary calendars in your Google account aren't read or written.
If sync stops
If your connection lapses, Cradled shows a "reconnect to resume" note on the same card. Click Connect Google Calendar again to restore it. Until you do, new appointments won't be added to your calendar and your out-of-office days may not block bookings.
Disconnecting
To stop syncing, open the Google Calendar card on the Availability tab and click Disconnect. Your busy times will no longer be pulled in and Cradled will stop writing appointments to your calendar. Your Cradled availability rules stay exactly as you set them.
