Before a connected client can book an appointment with you from their mobile app, you need to tell Cradled when you're available.
Where to set it
Schedule → Availability.
How availability works
You set recurring weekly rules — "Mondays 9am–1pm and 3pm–5pm", "Wednesdays off", etc. Cradled uses these rules plus your existing bookings (and, if you've connected Google Calendar, your external busy times) to figure out which slots to offer clients.
Steps
- Click Add availability.
- Pick a day of the week.
- Add one or more time ranges for that day (e.g., 9:00–12:00 and 14:00–17:00).
- Save.
- Repeat for each working day.
Days you don't add are assumed unavailable. That's the simpler default — define only what's available, not what's blocked.
Appointment types and durations
Availability is separate from appointment types. A single 9–12 availability window might contain two 90-minute postpartum visits, or four 45-minute consultations — depending on which appointment type the client chooses. Manage appointment types under Schedule → Appointment types.
Booking window
Account → Schedule settings → Booking window controls how far in advance clients can book. Default is 30 days.
Blocking dates
For one-off time off (vacations, sick days, personal appointments), use Schedule → Blocked dates instead of removing availability. Blocked dates override availability rules.
After you save
Your connected clients see updated availability the next time they open the booking flow in the app. If you set availability after an inquiry calls, she'll be able to book immediately.
