Update your profile and business settings

What to change, what stays, and what breaks if you change it wrong.

You can update almost everything in Account at any time. Here's what's safe, what's sticky, and what has side effects.

Safe to change anytime

  • Display name and Display title
  • Credentials
  • Business address
  • Payment instructions
  • Default hourly rate
  • Tax rate / tax label / tax number

These update immediately and apply to new documents. Already-sent invoices and contracts keep their original snapshot values.

Sticky

  • Currency — really, don't change this after you've sent invoices. Documents in mixed currencies are confusing and reports won't aggregate cleanly. If you must, contact support first.

  • Email — this is your login email; changing it requires going through auth reset. Contact support if you need this.

Has side effects

  • Timezone — changes the interpretation of existing appointment times displayed in your dashboard. Past appointments shift visually. Future booked appointments keep their actual time but display in the new zone. Avoid changing this after you've booked appointments.

  • Profession — some UI defaults (like which analytics tab to prioritize) depend on this. Safe to change but your dashboard will look slightly different afterward.

What your clients see after changes

  • Clients connected via the mobile app see your updated name, title, and profession on their Care tab.
  • New invoices and contracts use the updated business details.
  • In-flight contracts keep their snapshot.
