Auto-charge payment plans charge a saved card automatically. When a card declines, Cradled handles it gracefully — but a repeatedly failing card will pause the plan until you step in.
What Cradled does on a failed charge
- It retries the next day, then again three days later.
- After a third failed attempt, the plan pauses so the client isn't charged over and over.
- You get a notification on every failed attempt and when the plan pauses.
How to get it running again
- In the client's Auto-charge panel, click Send new card request. The client gets a secure link to add a working card.
- Once they've added one, click Resume with latest card.
Cradled picks up where it left off, charging the client's newest card on file. You don't need to recreate the plan.
