Visits are how you track the actual work you do with a client — prenatal meetings, birth support, postpartum check-ins. Log them for your own records, for reports, and (if you send invoices) to justify hours billed.
Where to log a visit
Two places:
- Client detail → Visits tab → Log visit (most common).
- Schedule tab → Log visit for a quick standalone entry, then pick the client.
Both get you to the same form.
Fields
Date and time — when the visit happened. You can log past visits; you don't need to log in real time.
Duration — how long you were with the client. Used in billing and reports.
Topics — a multi-select of common prenatal/postpartum topics: birth preferences, feeding intentions, emotional check-in, physical comfort, village readiness, partner prep, fears & concerns, postpartum planning, and more. Pick any that apply.
Notes — freeform text. These are your notes, not shared with the client. Put whatever you'd normally jot down: how the client is doing, what came up, what to follow up on, any concerns.
Editing and deleting
Click any visit in the Visits tab to edit it. The edit screen looks identical to the log-visit form. Delete from the same screen if it was logged in error.
Visits on managed clients
Works the same way. You don't need the client to be in the app — you're just keeping records in Cradled.
Visits on the mom's side
Connected clients do not see your visit notes. Visits are internal to your practice. They don't appear on her mobile app.
Reports
Visits roll up into your practice reports — total visit count, average duration, top topics discussed, visits per client. See them at Reports → Visits.
